Unveiling the Must-Hear Tracks from Nicki Minaj's 'Pink Friday 2' Album

Barbz, gather 'round! Nicki Minaj has just unveiled Pink Friday 2, a colossal 22-track album surfacing 13 years after the OG release. 'Tis the season for this musical treat! Nicki, a strong figurehead in the rap world, presents yet another compelling chapter in her legacy.

If you're hesitating to dive into this album due to online chatter (which, let's face it, tends to stir some debate), we've curated a list of THE standout tracks from Pink Friday 2. These are the tunes that deserve your attention before you craft your own judgment. I personally found a stronger connection with the album's latter half compared to the first. Ready to dive right in?

Our favourite songs in tracklist order from top to bottom:

1) Barbie Dangerous - track 2: Pink Friday 2 opens with 'Barbie Dangerous' as the second track, setting a powerful tone with Nicki's commanding rap style, offering a promising start.

2) Let Me Calm Down (feat. J. Cole) - track 6: Cole’s on the track so does anymore need to be said? J. Cole is always going to deliver

3) Needle (feat. Drake) - track 9: The hook and chorus from Drake is super catchy, so we’ve definitely got a ‘Winter hit song’ contender on our hands. I can definitely hear this song go off in the clubs and day parties.

4) Cowgirl (feat. Lourdiz) - track 10: We know Nicki can slow it down so Cowgirl is the sultry sexy song. ‘Think Get On Your Knees’ from The Pinkprint but faster.

5) Everybody (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) - track 11: This song will be inescapable on TikTok so you better just go ahead and love the track now as you won’t be able to run away from it. 10/10, no notes.

6) Big Difference - track 12: This one might go over a lot of people’s heads however this one if definitely for the Barbz.

7) Red Ruby Da Sleeze - track 13: Uh-Oh - Limidee will never get old and this sample works so well. Shoutout to TikTok again for giving Red Ruby Da Sleeze the love it deserves.

8) Forward From Trini (feat. Skillibeng & Skeng) - track 14: It’s basically Trini Dem Girls part 2. Nicki Minaj, Skillibeng and Skeng all delivered on this however my only beef with this track is WHERE WAS GRENADA’s MENTION??Disrespectful.

9) Pink Friday Girls - track 15: Sampling ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ by Cyndi Lauper is so smart because that’s exactly what this track and album embodies! Girls just having fun.

10) Super Freaky Girl - track 16: The name is pretty self explanatory really. You can always expect Nicki to give us a super fun but explicit sexually charged song. Think Anaconda, Stupid Hoe, etc except better.

11) Bahm Bahm - track 17: For those who appreciate straight bars and something a bit more stripped back; this one’s for you.

12) My Life - track 18: Samples the 70/80’s classic ‘Heart of Glass’ by Blondie… unexpected but it works.

13) Blessings (feat. Tasha Cobbs Leonard) - track 20: This beautiful song is an ode to all believers, honoring Jesus Christ. Featuring Tasha Cobbs Leonard, named Billboard's Gospel Artist of the Decade, 'Blessings' strikes the perfect chord. It could have easily served as the closing track to wrap up the album.

In a nutshell, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 is a musical treasure trove, boasting a rich variety of tracks that span genres and showcase her undeniable artistry. From the vibrant collaborations with J. Cole, Drake, and Lil Uzi Vert to the soulful offerings with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the album is a rollercoaster of sound and sensation. Dive into these highlighted tracks for an immersive taste of Nicki's ever-evolving style.
