JD Drops the Exclusive New Balance 1000 Colourways with Saka, Redveil & Araloyin
JD celebrates the exclusive launch of the reimagined ‘New Balance 1000’ in all new colourways. Originally released in 1999, the New Balance 1000 marked the end of the iconic decade, combining bold and futuristic styling with its ergonomic design and leveraging the innovative functionality of a traditional trainer. JD, the leading retailer for sports, fashion, and lifestyle brands, combines the worlds of sport, entertainment, and culture through a standout product-focused campaign that features global talent at the top of their game. Explored through the lens of community, connection, and cultural currency, the JD exclusive campaign features:
Bukayo Saka, the British-Nigerian known best as the dynamic Arsenal prodigy and England winger, has been a New Balance athlete since 2021.
Redveil, a 21-year-old rapper, songwriter, and producer from Prince George's County, Maryland, is one of hip-hop's most prominent new voices.
Araloyin Oshunremi is a British-Nigerian actor hailing from Hackney, East London. Known best for portraying the role of ‘Stefan’ in the popular UK drama, Top Boy, and ‘Otis Smith’ in the Netflix series, Heartstopper.
The reissued 1000 brings a turn-of-the-millennium classic out of the archives. The standard mesh upper and suede overlay design is inverted, with mesh underlays emerging from the more prominent overlay panels for a refined, tech-inspired look. A segmented sole unit features ABZORB cushioning at the heel and forefoot, with a stability web midfoot shank.
The four new 1000 colourways will launch exclusively at JD stores globally and online beginning July 14, 2025.
